JOHN B. LEE
Born a fifth generation Canadian on a centennial farm in southwestern Ontario near the village of Highgate where his father raised prize winning purebred shorthorn cattle and Longwool Lincoln sheep, John B. Lee left home at age eighteen to attend university in London Ontario where he attained three degrees in English.
After a brief fourteen-year period teaching high school English and Dramatic Arts, Lee left the profession to pursue a career as a writer. His first poems began to appear in journals and periodicals while he was still in his teens and his first book of poems was accepted for publication while he was an undergraduate at Western. A three-time Poet Laureate, he lives with wife Cathy in a lake house overlooking Long Point Bay on the south coast of Lake Erie in the town of Port Dover where he works as a full-time author.
